Nine lives films is a post-production company in Nairobi, Kenya, that helps to tell your stories in the best way possible for cinema, TV, Social Media and all multimedia platforms. We specialize in Conservation, Natural history and people led stories aimed at protecting and conserving our planet. We work with clients around the world.

Nine lives films is led by Thuku Kamau, a Filmmaker with over 9 years of experience specializing in; Camera Operation & Film editing. He is an African Conservation Voices Fellow and a NEWF Fellow. He is a volunteer judge for Jackson Wild and has undergone the REDucation training in South Africa, under the Africa Refocused program which is a collaboration between NEWF and National Geographic Society.
His film "Saving The Vulture" has screened in Kenya, Austria, South Africa, Rwanda, and continues to tour the world. The film is nominated for the 2023 Jackson Wild WWD Audience Award and is a finalist at Pridelands Wildlife Film Festival in Kenya.
Thuku is currently partnering with NEWF to offer capacity-building skills to fellows across Africa.
In 2022, he was featured on the Kenya Airways Msafiri Magazine, as an emerging wildlife Filmmaker,. His passion has also seen get interviews on local TV stations and Podcasts.
Thuku also lends his voice to Kenya Wildlife Conservancies Association (KWCA) on matters Youth and conservation and he is a member of the Association of Film Editors Kenya. (AFEK)
